There are weddings that feel beautiful… and then there are weddings that feel like home. Sam and Emma’s day at Belle Gardens was both perfectly tied together.
Belle gardens was the perfect place for Sam & Emma’s wedding because it not only is beautiful it is the home of the groom’s parents. It’s where nieces and nephews run around like it’s grandma’s house, and where family gatherings are already full of laughter and life.
When I walked into the bridal suite that morning, the girls had music filling the rooms, flower girls were running in and out with dolls, and laughter was everywhere. It honestly felt like a Christmas morning at grandma’s house—everyone together, and joy filling the air.
Sam and Emma wanted their faith to be at the center of their day, and their ceremony reflected that so beautifully. Their pastor spoke about the meaning of marriage, and it set such a sweet, grounding tone.
One of my favorite moments? The first flower girl walking down the aisle, giggling the entire way. She was having the time of her life, and the whole crowd loved it. But when Emma walked out, the giggles turned to tears—Sam’s face said it all. The moment was finally here, when Sam and Emma joyfully commited their lives together to love, serve, honor, and cherish each other till death due them part.
The reception took place in the backyard at Belle Gardens, shaded by tall trees with the fountain bubbling at the center. Friends gathered in clusters, kids darted across the lawn, and families caught up like old times. It was relaxed and happy, like the best kind of summer night.
After the Sweetest speeches and the first dances, the music continued and everyone joined the dance floor—parents, grandparents, kids-it was so fun. And when the night finally wound down, Sam and Emma ran through a glowing tunnel of sparklers, surrounded by their people cheering them on.
Sam and Emma’s families were so warm and kind, and instead of just being “the photographer,” I felt like I got to celebrate right alongside them. Their day was overflowing with joy, faith, and love, and it was such an honor to capture it all.
If you’re looking for an elegant, cottage type wedding venue in Spokane, I’d highly reccomend Belle Gardens just north of Spokane. Gina is one of the kindest people and her and her family will put their whole heart into serving you and making your wedding day feel special and meaningful.
