Jonah & Abby had such a beautiful spring Spokane wedding at their home church with their first look at the beautiful Rosarium Garden in Spokane WA. The words that stand out to me when I think of their wedding are genuine connection and fellowship. Everything about the day was so full of joyful fellowship. From the moment I arrived to capture photos of the girls getting ready. The Bride intentionally chose to have her three sisters and mom beside her throughout the whole day. And they were the best support. Cheerfully serving wherever they could to make Abby’s wedding day as special as it could be.Â
After a sweet moment of Abby’s sisters and mom helping her get ready, we met the groom at the rosarium for the first look. It was just as Abby had pictured, walking amongst the garden to see her groom. When she tapped him on the shoulder, it was as if nothing else mattered in the world except for each other. They embraced and shared gifts. Abby shared a journal with Jonah in which she had written notes in throughout the years for her future husband. And now he finally got to share in those sweet notes she had written for him.Â
The rosarium Garden wedding venue in Spokane was such a perfect spot for the wedding pictures, that matched Abby’s dream of having a colorful garden wedding. We then headed back to the church where Jonah & Abby had first met and where they now were getting married. The ceremony was all set up perfectly. With an arch brimming with flowers arranged by the talented Speral Floral who traveled up for the wedding to Spokane. It was set against the backdrop of low mountains off in the distance. The weather was a little cloudy, and the colors shone brightly all around.Â
The ceremony was so meaningful, and Abby & Jonah thoughtfully prepared each part of it to bring the focus to Christ as the author of their relationship and their savior. As they shared their vows of commitment a tear slipped from Abby’s eye and as I caught a glimpse of their parents and siblings, they all had tears in their eyes watching Abby & Jonah vow to love each other throughout every season. When they shared their first kiss everyone cheered and Abby was still in tears over this joyous moment.Â
Everyone gathered under the white tent beautifully decorated with many flowers for the reception. With the light of the candles and the bistro lights, the tent glowed with warmth and joy, while everyone was enjoying fellowship. The parents and siblings shared meaningful memories with the Bride and Groom and many people in laughter and tears. And the first dances were so sweet and genuine, trying to hold back tears of joy just soaking in the moment with each other.
As I left that night after sending off the married couple in an antique car, I drove home just marveling at how special their wedding was. I felt like I was a part of their family, celebrating the joy of their marriage and it was so special! Hope you enjoy a glimpse of their beautiful, spring, Spokane wedding day through these pictures!
