THE SESSION
I don't think I will ever get over these adorable engagement photos that were captured at Cougar Bay Nature Preserve, in Coeur d'Alene. It honestly couldn't have been a more perfect winter day for Matthew & Aimee's Engagement Session. The snow had fallen just days before leaving a beautiful snowy backdrop, the sun was brightly shining through the trees making for a stunning glow, and to top it off it was an amazing forty degrees out which (for Idaho winter weather) is perfect!
It was such a gift from the Lord because Aimee & I had been looking at the weather for weeks looking for a good day to take their engagement photos, and we had decided to settle on that day because it worked best for our schedules--but not knowing the weather would turn out so perfectly.
THE PROPOSAL
During their session, It was so fun to hear their sweet engagement story. It started with an incredible plane flight over the mountains and followed by Matthew proposing to Aimee on a beautiful wooden bridge leading over a flowing river among trees. The way Aimee talked about it, sounded like it was a magical spot for an engagement. Using a fish in the stream to divert her attention, Matthew seized the moment and got down on one knee to ask Aimee to marry him, with a stunning rose gold ring (that he had custom designed just for her). All while her sister hid behind the trees to capture the priceless moment forever!
I am so happy for your both, and can't wait to capture your wedding this summer!
Love,
Sarah
